Chiropractic Tips to Avoid Golf Injury
Golf injury can be avoided by following chiropractic advice.
According to the Golf Channel golf is now played by over 26 million Americans over the age of 18, with 45% of these being under 40, and 33% over 50. 22% of adult golfers are women. There are also over 6 million junior golfers between the ages of 15 and 17.
As in all physical sports, it is important to exercise your body and develop your technique in order to play both effectively and safely.
Dr Jay Greenstein is a both a chiropractor and a certified golf instructor. He knows golf is about a whole lot more than a perfect swing. In this video he applies chiropractic principles to help golfers improve their performance and avoid injury.
He sees a lot of golf injury on a regular basis. “We see a lot of lower back pain, and a lot of shoulder pain” says Dr Greenstein. But with good training golf injury can be avoided. “We can improve range of motion, improve flexibility and deal with any problems before injury occurs”.
His key point is that stretching and flexibility are as important in golf as in any other sport.
